Tokyo | Japan

2002-2003 | ID tonychi and Associates | Chhada Siembieda & Associates Ltd

The Grand Hyatt Tokyo in Roppongi Hills is Japan's largest private urban redevelopment project, a luxury five-star hotel designed by two renowned interior design studios, Chhada Siembieda & Associates Ltd and tonychi and Associates. The main challenge for Interna, that supplied and installed all the loose furniture for the public areas, including restaurants, bars and reception, was to combine the two design styles. All materials were selected with the utmost care, from wood types, with a predominance of natural oak and ebonized mahogany, to fabrics, including precious velvets and leathers; Interna also created special finishes with exclusive customized colours. And the result is a minimalistic yet refined and luxurious atmosphere for this modern, stylish, and fascinating hotel
