Japanese historical tradition attributes immense value to an episode concerning Fukuoka, which lies in the southernmost island of Kyushu. In 1281 the Mongolian fleet docked here and was destroyed by a typhoon that to the Japanese was the Kamikaze, the Divine Win, protecting the land from the foreign invaders. This incident contributed to the creation of the myth that their country was sacred and inviolable.
And in this town in the Kyushu region is located the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka, a spectacular 400-room hotel for which Interna provided all the loose furniture for rooms, suites and public areas in a predominant contemporary style mixed with more typical elements of traditional Japanese design.
