Le Grand Paris, part of the prestigious InterContinental chain, reopened its doors to the public in April 2003 after 18 months of extensive renovation works. Located in a magnificent historic building, just next to the Garnier Opéra de Paris, this hotel is a spectacular example of late 19th century European luxury.
Interna created special, custom-made loose furniture for the more than 400 rooms and suites as well as for all the public areas in a French Empire style, matching the originals made in 1862.The items partly produced in mahogany with decorative inlays, partly lacquered, have been enriched with decorative details in gold leaf or bronze, embellished with marble tops or mosaic shelves and have been upholstered with precious fabrics that are historically accurate replicas of antique textiles.
